Khardeeja writes:
This song expresses the variety of feelings a person could feel when it rains. For example, someone who likes the rain may see it as a combination of bright colours like a scene out of a painting. Someone who doesn’t may only see it as dull shades of grey. The sounds someone hears on a rainy day, all depends on the colours they see. That is why I called this piece, β€œMix Colours of Rain.”
I am pleased that there is a little vocal and I like the sound of it, however, I hoped that the quality of the mic was better because the scratchy background noise is disturbing. I think it’s a pretty experimental piece of music because there is a variety of sounds and that was what I was going for.
This was my first official composition so the process was really hard but it was new and interesting. Also, throughout the process, I was able to learn new things about Soundtrap and other music software.
my initial plan was to do a mashup using numerous amounts of different drum kits and overall very modern. That’s pretty much the result of my first composition, however, coming closer to the end I decided to add in some vocals. I think it just emphasises the feeling and atmosphere I was hoping to give off. The struggles I had was when it came to adding more for the instrumentation. Since I was hoping for a more experimental piece, there needed to be a mixture of instruments, so I added different sounds from the synthesizer to add more variety.
