about

Brandon writes:
I reviewed and carefully listened to several different examples of Music of the same type and tried to find the similarities in instrumentation before I started with this composition. I then asked for suggestions from friends and then blacked out while making the melodies and other parts of the music (inputted random notes and kept whatever sounded less like random key presses). I constantly ran into trouble with how to continue the music piece, but in the end, I managed to bypass this problem by testing different notes for hours and then asking my friends’ thoughts on it.

I’m most pleased with the melodies that I was able to create despite being randomly generated by smashing my keyboard and the fact that I managed to complete this composition.I learned that I do not work well with chords, that I had no idea how to make or work with chords. I also learned that apparently smashing random keys to make music actually does work, just not too efficient.
